High Copy Contrast

A few months ago I purchased a rather expired role of Kodak "high copy contrast" film. Apparently it is quite a rare find. I decided to shoot it during the off time between my latest exams. The colours are mental.

Here is one I really enjoyed the outcome of; shot off the balcony of my flat. To put the photograph into perspective I took it at around noon on a sunny day, here is the result.

The Baviaanskloof is an epic part of South Africa. Such untouched natural beauty. I long to return already! Here are two of my, black and white snaps of a husband and wife team, showing how they live a subsistence life.

The Endless Summer

When did life have to get so complicated? I watched the 1960's film - The Endless Summer a while back. It made me think of how life can comprise of something so simple yet amazing. It is about two friends who spend a year traveling the world following the summer and waves. They travel to some of the most amazing places. It is quite inspiring how its is just two mates and their surfboards in search of perfection. This poses the question why do we not do this more often?

10 Things

10 Things I would like to be doing right now:
  1. Being in the ocean
  2. Hitting up a surf trip with mates
  3. Skating Signal Hill or Table Mountain
  4. Climbing a mountain
  5. Cruising the promenade on my penny
  6. Taking photos
  7. Driving somewhere or nowhere
  8. Spending time in Pearly Beach (with the girlfriend)
  9. Chilling hard with some irie friends
  10. Training for upcoming events

Instead of any of these I am stuck at a desk behind a pile of books. All negativity aside though, only 5 more exams and the list will be completed as well as a whole load more things will be added. Here is a photo that keeps my froth going. Have a good day bastards...
